CHIEF OF POLICE
CITY OF DAVID CITY, NEBRASKA
The City of David City, NE (pop. 2,474), is seeking a Chief of Police. The David City Police Department has a $400,000 annual budget with 4 sworn full time officers and 1 civilian employee. Desirable candidates will have high ethical standards; knowledge of police administration; criminal and personnel law; proven management, budgeting and leadership skills. The Chief of Police must interact effectively with the Mayor, City Council, City Administrator, department heads and the public. Partial requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field preferred; current full time employment with at least 6 years of full time experience of which at least 3 are at the rank of a supervisory officer or higher; a valid Nebraska driver’s license’; Basic Certification and Management/Supervisory Certification through the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center (or ability to obtain within one year); Residency in David City within 4 months of employment; Salary negotiable depending on experience. POLICE OFFICER
CITY OF DAVID CITY, NEBRASKA
The David City Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer . The requirements for applicants are: Law Enforcement certification is preferred but not mandatory; 21 years of age; a U.S. citizen; ability to work weekends, holidays and rotating shifts; never been convicted of a felony; be of good moral character; in good physical health; possess a valid driver's license; possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate: and reside within the City Limits or within thirty miles of the City Limits of David City. Starting salary range is $13.70 per hour and an excellent insurance program.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
BUTLER COUNTY DEVELOPMENT BOARD
Butler County Development Board (BCDB), a Butler County, Nebraska and David City, Nebraska community development organization, seeks an Executive Director to develop, coordinate, and oversee programs and operation of BCDB under the direction or the BCDB President and Board Members. Responsibilities include program implementation, supervising office staff, coordinating program development, and creating and maintaining relationships with key program partners in the region and state. Two years experience in community or economic development, management or business ownership is desired. Strong written and interpersonal communications skills are strongly desired. Four-year college degree is strongly desired. Valid Nebraska driver’s license and reliable transportation is required. Salary based on qualifications.
