Fire/Rescue Squad




The David City Rural Fire District of Butler County was formed in 2000. The department, with a fire station in David City and a grass rig in Garrison, has 53 active volunteer firefighters. Fire protection is provided to David City and 124 square miles in the rural fire district. The department also provides rescue services for Abie, Bruno, and Linwood fire departments.

 

The David City Rescue Squad has 29 Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and 9 EMT A/Ms (Airway Management); all are trained to operate a defibrillator. They respond to calls with the two ambulances owned by the David City Rural Fire District of Butler County.
